Blue & White Night Fundraiser

The Blue & White Night Committee is responsible for planning and execution of the Booster Clubs annual major fundraiser. The fundraiser consists of the following tasks:

Ø Function hall rental – We usually rent out the hall at the Alpine Club at 175 Putnam Street, Manchester, NH for sometime near the first week of April

Ø Function hall decoration – Purchasing and placing of helium blue & white balloons, table centerpieces (small), streamers, etc.

Ø Advertising – Contacting our Community Relations Committee to advertise on radio, newspaper (Manchester, Hooksett, Bedford), Community TV (Manchester & Bedford), flyers posted in church bulletins, local senior centers, etc. Also use members@westboosterclub.com, hooksett-issues@googlegroups.com, and facebook page to advertise.

Ø Food – Contacting our Food Committee to have available a buffet style table for our guests. We learned that the table should be placed in the rear of the function and not the front in order to allow people to enjoy getting up for food and not have to walk in front of everyone

Ø Music – Secure a public address system for the Master of Ceremonies that also provides music for background.

Ø Silent Auction – Visiting businesses in the Manchester, Hooksett and Bedford areas to solicit donations for our silent auction. Prepare tables with auction items, auction sheets with pens.

Ø Super Raffle – Contacting the Print Media Committee to have tickets printed. Bring Bingo drum to place all of the raffle ticket stubs. Prepare a “LOSERS” and “WINNERS” bucket. Assemble cash prize boxes. Raffle is executed by picking 5 “losers” in a row, that go into the losers bucket, and then pick 1 winner who gets to pick a money prize, or have their ticket stub go into the grand prize drawing bucket. Then losers are selected from the winners bucket until the grand prize winner is selected. Then, at the end of the night, one winner is selected from the losers bucket to win a cash prize. You do not have to be present to win the grand prize, but you DO have to be present to win the losers cash prize. Treasurer writes checks to money winners.
