Scholarship Committee . Each year the
Booster Club awards 4 Non Designated Scholarships to Senior Student Athletes.
The committee consists of three members with the following responsibilities: Ø Provide
the Scholarship Application to the Guidance Office no later than February 1
for the current year awards Ø Ensure
that students are aware of the Scholarships opportunities by working with the
guidance office and using other means of communication – e-mail, web, school announcements. Ø Validate
Student’s eligibility, (parent or guardian must be a Booster Club
Member), and ensure applications are complete and submitted on time
Ø Ensure
all student’s names are removed from
application that will be submitted to essay reviewers. Essays submitted
to reviewers will only include student’s West HS ID #
Ø Contact educators
who will review applications. These individuals are not affiliated with
West High School. Reviewers can consist of College Professors,
Elementary, Middle School and High School Teachers or Guidance Personnel. Ø Rank
applications based on determined criteria Ø Award

has a student who is applying for the scholarship should be a member of this
