Sports Awards Nights The Sports Awards Committee
is responsible for coordinating with the Athletic Director all of the
activities involved with the Sports Award nights. The Sports Award
nights are held to honor the West High athletes for fall, winter and spring
sports. This is a fun night where teams are presented with awards, West
High School sports t-shirts, food and fun raffles. The Booster Club
also promotes new memberships at these events, and usually sets up tables for
Booster Club membership drives. Some of the duties of this night are: Ø Contact
the Food Committee to coordinate food and drinks for the night Ø Contact
the Decorations Committee if needed Ø Hand out
sports t-shirts purchased by the Athletic Director Ø Purchase
raffle bags of candy for raffles for the athletes, and solicit donations from
local restaurants, gas stations, etc. for raffle prizes Ø Contact
the Print Media Committee if we need more raffle tickets Ø Coordinate
highlight pictures of the night for promotional purposes Ø Contact
the Community Relations Committee to ensure event is well advertised
